There will be a short quiz on each of the chapters. Each quiz is worth 20 points.
There are four exams; each one is worth 99 points.
The chapter quizzes will be taken on your own computer using a testing program (ChemWeb) that gives you immediate feedback on the quiz. Prepare for these quizzes by studying the chapter, and completing the Tutor assignment for that chapter. The quizzes are "open-book" but you should prepare for them as though they were not. That strategy will help you prepare and do well on the exams, which will seem much harder because they are not open book.
Prepare for the exams by reviewing the Tutor assignments, the chapter quizzes, the practice exams, and the Exam Study Guides. Practice exam questions are available on the tutor site.
Chapter quizzes may be taken on your computer as you complete each chapter. The exams must be taken on or before the Due Date:

You will need a valid photo ID.
CWP is the secure proctor service that is used for my classes.
Once you click on an exam in ChemWeb, it will guide you through the process. Things to note:
You will be asked for permission to use your camera on your device. This is required, so ensure you have a device that you can use the camera. Your test will be recorded and/or monitored. You will be asked to show your face with a photo ID verifying your identity. You will be asked to scan your room and show your one page cheat sheet. Any interruptions during the exam may flag your session for further review and if any inappropriate activity for an exam is detected, your exam may be disqualified. If inappropriate activity is found, no make-up exam will be provided and a zero will be given on the exam.
CWP will be launched when you access the exam in ChemWeb. Once you have launched CWP and completed the security checks, you will have access to the exam.
Cheating is considered a serious offense and may be punished by failure on the exam, failure in the course and/or expulsion from the university.
